The 21st Century Community Learning Centers program is a national initiative designed to provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for children, particularly students who attend high-poverty and low-performing schools. This session will offer tips and strategies for schools throughout the North Coast region interested in applying for funding for after-school programs through the 21st Century Community Learning Center. Glen Price of the Glen Price Group will conduct the workshop and highlight the key components of successful grant applications. This workshop is Free.
The Role of Staff in Behavior Guidance: Jan 23rd 9am-12pm
Trainer: Doris WIlson
To gain greater confidence in guiding behavior, staff must look at their personal reactions to the behaviors of the children and youth with whom they work. Participants then use this information to develop strategies for responding to behaviors and to practice working out situations. Participants think about how they can use these strategies alone or in tandem to help guide a child or youth's behavior.
