Global Youth Service Day
Global Youth Service Day is an annual service day that mobilizes youth to improve their communities. Established in 1988, Global Youth Service Day is the largest and longest-running service event in the world, and the only day of service dedicated to children and youth.
Since GYSD is often the same weekend as Earth Day, we at CalSERVES dedicate this service day to improving the environment. Our projects over the past decade have ranged from clearing invasive species at the Laguna de Santa Rosa, to cleaning up creeks, to maintaining trails at local and state parks.
